Malaysia, Thailand Returnees Arrive Nigeria

Nigerians stranded in Malaysia and Thailand are on their way home on board a chartered Air France flight. 32 of the evacuees are returning from Thailand, three of whom were stranded at the airport in Bangkok following the lockdown as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The departure for Nigeria was announced this morning on the Twitter handle of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission. This is the first evacuation flights from both countries. And the flights, which left Kuala Lumpur at about 7:00 a.m. local time, landed first at the International Airport Abuja. Before proceeding to the Muritala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.

Building Collapse Kills Three in Lagos

A building collapse incident on Lagos Island has left three people dead, including a minor. The three-storey building located at 23 Freeman Street, came down in the early hours of today, according to emergency officials.
