Tosin Ojaomo, lawyer to Ibrahim Magu has insisted that his client has not been suspended from office and remains the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC).

Ojaomo maintained that since there has been no official communication on the suspension, Magu remains the EFCC boss.

He made the submission on Thursday while addressing journalists in Abuja, adding that the truth regarding Magu’s current saga will soon be made public and Nigerians will be shocked.

He said: “The truth will soon be out. I was there today, but I couldn’t see him. They said I should come early in the morning so I will be there to apply for his bail.

“The news that someone has been appointed to replace him or that he is under suspension is not true. There is no letter of suspension. You will be shocked how this will end.”

Naija News recalls Magu is currently being questioned by a presidential investigative panel headed by Justice Ayo Salami over allegations of financial recklessness, abuse of office, insubordination, and others levelled against him by Abubakar Malami, Nigeria’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice.
