The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to resign following an alleged indictment in the probe of Ibrahim Magu.

In a statement to newsmen, Dr Emeka Kalu, the National Publicity Secretary of PDP Youth Alliance (PDPYA), also asked Yakubu Mahmoud, Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to resign.

According to Kalu, Mahmoud must resign over purported plan to rig the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Edo State for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naija News reports that one Jackson Ude had claimed that the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, had allegedly confessed that he gave N4 billion to VP Osinbajo out of the N39 billion proceed of recovery.

But in a swift statement by his media aide, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo denied receiving any money from Magu.

Akande added that the news is been peddled by those who are out to confuse the public and smear Prof. Osinbajo’s image.
