COVID-19: Former Ondo NMA Chairman, Adeyeri Is Dead

The former Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association in Ondo State, Dr Michael Adeyeri, has died of complications from Coronavirus.

Information gathered revealed that Adeyeri died in his private hospital located at Alagbaka area of Akure, the state capital, after attending to a patient.

It was reported that the doctor was earlier taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo after he developed symptoms of COVID-19.

The development was confirmed by the current chairman of the NMA, Dr Wale Oke, while speaking with newsmen on Thursday.

This is coming barely a week after the Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, died of the same virus.
