Nigeria Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, during Presidential Task Force briefing on COVID-19 in Abuja on July 6 disclosed that facilities would soon be made available for school revision classes ahead of the West African Examination Council, WAEC.

According to the minister, the ministry is set to release a fresh timetable for the 2020 WASSCE examination.

Naija News understands that the disclosure was coming following an announcement by the Federal Government that the WAEC examination would kickstart from August 4 and last through September 5.

Nwajiuba, however, admonished parents and guidances to make a record of the announced date, considering the fact that NABTEB and NECO exams will also kickoff respectively not long after completion of the WAEC exams.

The minister, therefore, admonished candidates to get themselves prepared for the examinations, considering the limited time they have. He further noted that aside from the exam timetable, candidates will be issued with health and safety guidelines while wearing of face masks will also be made mandatory for all to ensure compliance with the health agencies against the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
