The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has finally reacted to the alleged report that he poured acid on a fellow student when he was an undergraduate at the University of Benin (UNIBEN).

Naija News recalls that during the last APC governorship campaign the former National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole raised the allegation against Ize-iyamu.

However, W=while defending himself during an interview session in an online television programme on Sunday, Ize-Iyamu debunked the allegation and explained that contrary to what is in circulation, he drew the attention of the school‎ security and took the victim for first aid treatment.

Ize-Iyanmu also admitted to the claims that he was a member of the Pyrates Confraternity and a student union leader.

Meanwhile, the national leader of the party, Senator Bola Tinubu, and other leaders are expected to meet with the governorship candidate in the State later today.

Naija News learnt that the meeting will be aimed at strategising on how to ensure victory in the upcoming governorship September 18th 2020.
