The Presidency on Saturday dismissed reports of bad blood between President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The presidency stated this while reacting to the reports that followed the dissolution of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) allegedly loyal to Bola Tinubu.

2. Nigeria Will Break Up If… Former President Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has warned that “Nigeria will break up” at worst if the country is not restructured. Naija News reports that the former Nigerian President spoke on Friday at this year’s edition of the Sobo Sowemimo Annual Lecture organised by Abeokuta Club titled, “COVID-19 and the Nigeria security issues: The way forward.”

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has reported seven hundred and seventy-nine confirmed new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria. The new figures were disclosed by the health agency on Saturday night at exactly 11:42 pm, in a series of tweets via its verified account on the microblogging site, Twitter.

5. Oshiomhole States Position On APC NWC Dissolution, Makes Fresh Vow

Adams Oshiomhole, the immediate-past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, has stated his position on the dissolution of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) by President Muhammadu Buhari. Naija News reports that Oshiomhole said he has accepted the decision of the National Executive Committee (NEC) to sack the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

6. Fresh Zamfara Attack Leaves 12 People Killed

12 people have been killed by bandits in an attack on Unguwar Yabo village of Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The bandits who stormed the village riding motorcycles opened fire killing anyone on sight and leaving those who survived with various degrees of gunshot injuries.

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, has picked his running mate for the upcoming election. Naija News reports that Ize-Iyamu picked Hon. Gani Audu, a former Chairman of Etsako West Local Government.
