Just In: Fresh Zamfara Attack Leaves 12 People Killed

12 people have been killed by bandits in an attack on Unguwar Yabo village of Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The bandits who stormed the village riding motorcycles opened fire killing anyone on sight and leaving those who survived with various degrees of gunshot injuries.

It was gathered that the bandits spent several hours in Unguwar Yabo village, shooting and looting the people’s properties.

“We have seen hell. These heartless people have completely ruined the village because most of those killed or wounded were those we are proud of,” a witness who escaped luckily said.

Confirming the attack, the spokesperson for the state Police Command, SP Mohammed Shehu, said only four persons lost their lives in the attack.

Shehu said several others who sustained injuries were taken to the General Hospital Tsafe for treatment.

This resulted in massive protests in Katsina the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari.
