Boss Mustapha Storms Court, Testifies Against Emefiele In $6.2 Million Fraud Case

The Federal Government of Nigeria has hinted on ordering another lockdown across the country due to continuous increase in cases of COVID-19.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF Boss Mustapha, who doubles as the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 expressed the dissatisfaction of the government with citizen’s response on fighting the spread of the dreaded disease.

According to the SGF, considering recent upsurge in the cases of the novel virus, ordering another lockdown won’t be out of place.

Mustapha during the COVID-19 daily briefing on Thursday, June 25 noted that the way Nigerians are parleying with the killer virus was an indication of danger in the nearest future.

He said, “This is the time to lock down if it were within my power. This is the time to lock down because I can see the attitude of people romancing with COVID-19.”

“The daily increase in confirmed cases, the federal government feels a sense of frustration because we can see glaringly the danger ahead and you can see the level of recklessness on the part of people who should know better.”

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Thursday, June 25 reported five hundred and ninety-four confirmed new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
