APC Insists Giadom's NEC Meeting Illegal Despite Buhari's Endorsement

Officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have started arriving the Aso Rock Villa for the scheduled emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the party.

Some of the party officials that have arrived at the presidential villa in Abuja for the meeting include the Acting National Chairman of the APC, Chief Victor Giadom, and the National Deputy Chairman, Lawal Shuaibu.

Others who have arrived the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa for the meeting are the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase, the House majority leader, Hassan Dogowa and the Deputy Chief Whip, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Nnenna Ukeje.

Surprisingly, some members of the Oshiomhole faction of the party have also been sighted at the venue of the meeting. They include Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and the Deputy Majority Leader of House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Peterson Akpatason.

Major decisions affecting the immediate future of the party are expected to be deliberated upon during Thursday’s National Executive Council meeting.

It will be recalled President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, pitched his tent with the Giadom faction of the party, and also disclosed he will be attending the NEC meeting convened by Giadom.
