A woman whose identity is yet to be confirmed has reportedly been murdered in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.

According to reports from the locals, the woman was murdered on the early hour of Wednesday, June 24 by some individuals suspected to be ritualists.

Naija News learnt that the woman’s body was found around 5 am today, following the killing of three women in another incident at the same local government area.

As as the time this report was given, none of the perpetrators of the evil act has been either arrested or prosecuted.

Naija News gathered that the woman in the Wednesday morning incident was butchered with a cutlass while she was doing laundry in her apartment located opposite the popular Ajibade House, Sasa Ojoo in Akinyele local government.

A resident of the community who pleaded to remain anonymous revealed that recent uncalled killings in the local government area are suspected to be carried out by ritualists. He urged security agencies in the local and state level to act fast in putting an end to incessant killings in the community.

“Another person just killed in Ajibade area of Sasa community this morning. This is serious. If we don’t see any serious action from those who are concerned, we will be forced to embark on a serious mass protest. Enough is enough,” the source revealed.

However, efforts to receive from the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi proved to be abortive as an messages sent to him to affirm the incidents has not been replied yet.

Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, on Monday while speaking at the inauguration of the Community Policing Advisory Committee in Gombe State noted that Police can’t be everywhere at the same time.
