Edo 2020: I Won’t Challenge Obaseki's Victory - Ize-Iyamu

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has said that Governor Godwin Obaseki is not going to enjoy his move to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

According to the former governorship candidate of the PDP, Obaseki is not going to receive the kind of reception he thought he will get in the opposition party.

Speaking in a live interview monitored by Naija News on TVC on Tuesday morning, Ize-Iyamu alleged that Obaseki who has just joined PDP is already labelling himself as the leader of the party. According to him, a source confirmed to him that the statement made by Obaseki did not go down well with the party members.

Ize-Iyamu claimed that the PDP will understand that Obaseki’s arrogance is what caused problems for him in the APC, adding that while in the APC, the governor rubbished Adams Oshiomhole who had used his goodwill to see that he emerged as Edo State governor in the previous election.

The APC candidate further accused the Edo State governor of mismanaging the opportunity he had to have emerged the Governor of the state. He alleged that Obaseki has not done well in handling the issue of kidnapping, thuggery among other crisis in the state since he assumed office as the state governor.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress, Yekini Nabena, has accused the factional Acting National Chairman of the party, Victor Giadom, of working with fifth columnists to destroy the party.
