₦I00m Job-Scam: Employment will only Kick Off If The State Recovers From COVID-19 – Fayemi
Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has spoken on the alleged reports that his administration fraudulently collected over one hundred million naira from Jobseekers in Ekiti State.
Speaking on the alleged report by the main opposition party the Peoples Democratic Party, Fayemi via his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, in an exclusive interview with Naija News revealed that the claims by PDP are mischievous and frivolous as recruitment had been concluded.
Oyebode said the plan to give the successful applicant the letter is still on and active but was only placed on Suspension due to COVID-19 Crises in the State. He revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic crippled all the economic crises within the state at the peak of the conclusion of the recruitment exercise.
Oybode says: The Vacancies are still there, this a season when some state government are not Paying salaries, some paying half salaries even in Ekiti state, the public office holder had to part away with 50 percent so that the state will have sufficient fund to pursue the case COVID-19 and the serious business of governance that is while the issue of Employment was still KIV for the time been.
He, however, expressed hope that the recruitment will kick start immediately after the COVID-19 pandemic is over and when the state recovers from the economic impact of the virus.he also revealed that the state government was trying to employ 1000 fresh civil service and two thousand to the teaching service.
