A senator in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has alleged some reasons why negotiating with bandits will only result in more mayhem.

Sani in a tweet on his microblogging site account, warned the Nigerian government to avoid parleying with bandits, noting that they operate without regards for any government or law.

Sani who represented Kaduna Central constituency again noted that the deadly groups operate without a central leadership and hence each leader has his own agenda, adding that their motivation is nothing but money and that they reserved no space for respect.

He tweeted, “Three reasons why negotiations with bandits led to more attacks; Firstly, Bandits are cluster groups without a central leadership; Their motivation is money & can only be sustained by money; They are transnational gangs, operates without respect or recognition for any laws or Govt,”

Meanwhile, Naija News reported earlier that the deadly Boko Haram sect in Nigeria has made fresh moves to recruit more members to join them in carrying out their acts of terrorism.

It is understood that the move was made by the Abubakar Shekau faction of the Boko Haram group known as ‘Jama’atu Ahlussunnah Lidda’awati Wal Jihad.
