Results of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election which held on Monday has started trickling in.

Naija News reports the elections were held across 192 wards of the 18 local government areas of the state to elect the party’s flag bearer for the forthcoming governorship polls in September 2020.

Based on results that have been declared in some wards, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has taken an early lead and is opening up the gap against his fellow aspirants.

The other aspirants are Pius Odubu and Osaro Obaze.

In Igieduma ward/Uhunmwonde LGA, out of the 1568 accredited voters, Ize-Iyamu scored a total 1560 votes.

Results from ward 9/Oredo, in Edo South shows that Ize-Iyamu got 198 votes out of the 200 accredited party members, Odubu, 0 and Obazee 2.

Ize-Iyamu got 784 votes from Ward 7/Etsako West, in Edo North out of the 808 accredited voters. Odubu got 24 and Obazee 0.

From Ward 3/Egor, in Edo South out of the 195 party members accredited, Iyamu got a total of 175 votes; Odubu got 15 and Obazee 5.
