Buhari Appoints Semiu Adeniran As New Statistician General

In a bid to give Nigerians more quality education, President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law the bill establishing the Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State.

Naija News reports that the Senate had on Wednesday 18th, December 2019 passed a bill seeking to establish the Federal University.

Reacting to the signing of the bill, Professor Andrew Haruna, the Vice-Chancellor Federal University, Gashua, thanked President Buhari for assenting to the bill.

He also expressed gratitude to Senate President Ahmed Lawan and members of the National Assembly.

The academic charged the University community to remain focused and rededicate themselves towards achieving the mission and vision for which the University is established.

Recall that the Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State was established by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
