An Osun State father has mercilessly tortured his child who will be two years old in the next six months for reasons unknown.

The Inspector disclosed that the man whose name is given as Adeyemo Mayowa has been remanded for assaulting the young child, Okukute, inflicting pains on him with a stick and fire from his cigarette.
Abiodun stated that Mayowa’s crime has contravened the state’s criminal code act and as well punishable under section 355 of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Vol. II. Laws of Osun State Nigeria 2002.
Naija News understands that the culprit was also charged for ‘exploiting a child and being prejudicial to the welfare of the child’ and thereby also committing an offence contrary to, and punishable under section 33(1)(2) of the Child Rights Law of Osun State Nigeria 2003.
Adeyemo, however, blamed his mother for his actions and other calamities befalling him in the recent.
Despite the accused pleading guilty to the two-count charges, the court justice, Modupe Awodele, in her ruling ordered that he should be remanded in Ilesha correctional centre, as she adjourned the case further till July 14, 2020.
