The former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central constituency, Shehu Sani has reacted to the plans by some state governors to reopen schools despite increasing Coronavirus cases in Nigeria.

Recall that the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, advised that situation in the country does not support reopening of schools.

However, the Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, had a few weeks ago ordered the gradual reopening of schools in the state starting from (today), June 16, 2020.

The former lawmaker while speaking on the plan of states to reopen school pleaded with them to consider the lives of children in congested public schools before making such decisions.

Sani in a post on his Twitter account wrote: “States in a rush to reopen schools should seriously consider the lives of the multitude of children in congested public school.”
