EPL: Man City Announce Arrival Of New Coach

Former La Liga club manager and one-time coach of Pep, English Premier League club coach, Lillo has emerged as City’s second manager, Naija News understands.

Barely six months after Mikel Arteta moved out of Etihad Stadium to become a head coach at the Emirates Stadium, the English Premier League Champions, Manchester City announced the arrival of a new coach to fill the vacant.

Former La Liga club coach, Juanma Lillo has emerged City’s second coach after, Pep Guardiola, Naija News understands.

Naija News also understands that the 54-year-old Spanish football manager had once coached Pep during his playing days at Mexican side Dorados de Sinaloa.

In a recent interview with City officials after his declaration as a replacement for Mike, Lillo said, “I am delighted to have joined Manchester City’s coaching staff.”

“My relationship with Pep goes back many years and I am thrilled to be joining him as part of this exciting team.

“It’s a pleasure to become a part of this group and I hope to make an important contribution to the club’s success going forwards,” Lillo added.

Meanwhile, Naija News had reported earlier that Birmingham City coach, Pep Clotet is reportedly exiting the St. Andrew’s stadium at the end of the summer to look out for other chances.
