Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the highest Igbo socio-cultural organization, has asked Fulani herdsmen to return back to Futa Jallon mountains and Guinea highlands.

Ohanaeze was reacting to a statement credited to the president of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo.

The Miyetti Allah leader had in an interview with The Sun said Fulani will rule Nigeria forever as they own the country.

Bodejo stated that Miyetti Allah would soon flag-off its own security outfit with about 5,000 to 100,000 vigilantes to be deployed across all the states of the country.

He added that herdsmen do not need permission from any individual to occupy any territory in Nigeria.

The Miyetti Allah leader said unlike Amotekun, where the States Houses of Assembly in the southwest made laws to back it up, the Fulani security outfit won’t be needing the law to support it because every place the Fulani find themselves, “that is their own Assembly.”

“My organization, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, we are trying to set up our own security outfit.

“We are considering starting with 5000 personnel. While their own is Amotekun, our own name shall be unveiled soon. We have not decided on its name, maybe, it may be called, Miyetti Allah Vigilante,” he said.

But, Bodejo in another statement denied making such comments during the interview with The Sun.

The Miyetti Allah leader denied claims that the Fulani are raising 100,000 militiamen to enforce their will on every community in Nigeria.

Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo described the report as a blatant fabricated lie, adding that the report was a concocted falsehood by enemies of the Fulani people.

In a telephone interview with Daily Post on Monday, the spokesman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chuks Ibegbu, stated that nobody has the right to settle in any forest without informing the people (Owners of the land).

He called on security agencies to raid the bushes and flush out all illegal occupiers of all forests and bushes in Nigeria and the owners be made to protect their land at all costs.

Ibegbu said: “Can an Ijaw or Yoruba man go to any bush in Katsina or Sokoto to occupy it and claim it as his own? It cannot happen.

“Let them come out and rent houses in the towns as the world does not tolerate wandering by herders again. So, the Miyetti Allah National President should stop inflaming the already inflamed society with his queer theory. Let him go back to the Futa Jallon mountains and Guinea highlands where they came from to rule there forever, and not here in Nigeria”.
