Miyetti Allah Leader Backtracks, Denies Saying Fulani Owns Nigeria

The National President Miyetti Allah Kautal, Hore Sociocultural Association, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, has debunked saying Fulani owns Nigeria and they would rule the country forever.

Naija News reports that the leader of Miyetti Allah had in an interview with The Sun said Fulani will rule Nigeria forever as they own the country.

Bodejo stated that Miyetti Allah would soon flag-off its own security outfit with about 5,000 to 100,000 vigilantes to be deployed across all the states of the country.

He added that herdsmen do not need permission from any individual to occupy any territory in Nigeria.

The Miyetti Allah leader said unlike Amotekun, where the States Houses of Assembly in the southwest made laws to back it up, the Fulani security outfit won’t be needing the law to support it because every place the Fulani find themselves, “that is their own Assembly.”

“My organization, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, we are trying to set up our own security outfit.

“We are considering starting with 5000 personnel. While their own is Amotekun, our own name shall be unveiled soon. We have not decided on its name, maybe, it may be called, Miyetti Allah Vigilante,” he said.

His comments resulted in widespread condemnation, with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) calling on the Department of State Services (DSS) to arrest him.

In a fresh statement on Sunday, the Miyetti Allah leader denied claims that the Fulani are raising 100,000 militiamen to enforce their will on every community in Nigeria.

Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo described the report as a blatant fabricated lie, adding that the report was a concocted falsehood by enemies of the Fulani people.

He admitted that he was asked by the Sun Newspaper to react to the formation of Amotekun and he responded that every ethnic group has the inalienable right to defend itself against any aggression, including the Fulani.

He maintained that the Fulani people would pursue their legitimate business anywhere in Nigeria as the country is their inheritance as it is of other groups.

He further explained that the Fulbe would form vigilante groups if necessary to ward off any threat against its people and the incessant cattle rustlings, which they have suffered for decades without respite from government and other communities.

Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo insisted that with or without the Miyetti Allah group, the Fulani have the ability, capacity and rights to defend themselves in Nigeria and indeed anywhere.
