A case which was filed by the deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, aiming to stop the Kano state government from investigating an alleged racketeering of landed property of the Kano Emirate Council, has been dismissed by the Federal High Court today.

In an expert motion, Sanusi, had prayed the court to hinder the Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) and also its chairman Mr. Muhyi Rimingado, Attorney-General of Kano State and Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje, from investigating him.

However, the presiding Judge, Justice Lewis Allagoa, during the ruling, held that the rights of the emir was not being violated by the commission, due to the investigation.
