Nigerian footballer who plays as a striker for French Ligue 1 club Lille, Victor Osimhen, has in a recent interview berated news going about on the internet regarding his alleged move to SSC Napoli.

The forward in his reaction to the untrue report condemned reporters as he described the update as sickening.

Naija News understands that there were reports during the week that Nigerian player has agreed on a deal with the Seria A club, and as well requested for a €4million deal per year which is to last through five years.

The 21-year-old striker described the news as fake, urging the general public to shun every report of his transfer from Lille to any club except it is from him directly.

He said, “A lot of fake news about me agreeing on a deal with Napoli is sickening for real,”

Osimhen added, “I am surprised at the journalists that say they are professionals. I find it amazing. Please disregard any fake news, when it is time for my transfer, you’ll hear from me directly.”

Meanwhile, recently, Lille president, Gerard Lopez had disclosed that the club has received several offers for the Nigerian player.

Lopez said, “There are multiple offers for Victor Osimhen, we turned down one English and one Spanish offer this January transfer window.”

“There is a wide array this summer, and I would not want to mention the names of the clubs who are bidding for Osimhem but what I can tell you is that there are multiple offers for him.”

Not long ago, Osimhen was awarded Lille’s Player of the Season, following his eye-catching displays for the French side in the 2019-20 campaign, Naija News reports.
