Lagos Assembly Speaker, Hon. Obasa, Mourns Senator Muse

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has expressed sadness over the demise of Senator Munir Adekunle Muse.

Naija News reports that Muse, a former lawmaker who represented Lagos Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, died aged 80-years-old.

His death was announced by his son Sulaimon Muse.

According to him, Senator Muse died on Tuesday barely two weeks after his 80th birthday.

Reacting in a statement sent to Naija News, Hon. Obasa expressed his condolences to Senator Muse immediate family and the Lagos All Progressives Congress (APC).

The statement reads: “It is with a great sense of loss but submission to the will of Allah that I received the news of the demise of Senator Munir Adekunle Muse, a former distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, representing the good people of Lagos East Senatorial district.

“Baba Muse celebrated his 80th birthday just few days ago without giving us any sign of leaving us this soon. We will surely miss his gentleman approach to politics.

“On behalf myself, members, management and staff of Lagos State House of Assembly, I express my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, friends, political associates and Lagos APC in general.

“May the Almighty Allah grant him Aljannah firdaous and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
