Coronavirus: Lagos Records 17 Deaths In Two Days
The Commissioner of health in Lagos State, Prof. Akin Abayomi, disclosed the coronavirus related death on his official Twitter account on Tuesday.
The Lagos State government on Tuesday revealed that the state in the last 48 hours has recorded no fewer than 17 death due to coronavirus-related complications.
The Commissioner of health in the state, Prof. Akin Abayomi, disclosed this on his official Twitter account.
Abayomi in his post, on Tuesday, wrote, “Nine COVID-19 related deaths were recorded, bringing total COVID-19 related deaths in Lagos to 59.”
Barely 24 hours after, the commissioner said, “Eight additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded. Total COVID-19 related deaths now stand at 67.”
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Lagos has recorded 5,277 confirmed cases, while at least 4,352 are still undergoing treatment, and 875 patients have been discharged
