President Muhammadu Buhari might be ready to intervene in the crises ravaging the political terrain of Edo State as he had allegedly summoned the National Chairman of All Progressive Congress Party,(APC) Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for a closed-door meeting.

Naija News understands that Godwin Obaseki during his meeting with Buhari on Monday, called the attention of the president to the feud between him and his erstwhile political godfather, Oshiomhole which had created political tension on which model of primaries to adopt to pick the party’s flag bearer in the upcoming governorship election in the state.

A member of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), who confirmed the development, revealed that Oshiomhole will meet with the president at the Presidential Villa later today.

“I’m aware the president has summoned the national chairman and they will meet at the Villa tomorrow (today). I think the issue will be resolved. There will be primaries but I think it will not be done in a way to put the governors of Edo and Ondo at a disadvantage”, he said

However, Naija News recalls that Oshiomole had earlier insisted on direct primaries as he revealed that he was not aware of his erstwhile god Son’s( Godwin Obaseki) preference for indirect primary.

He also said that there has not been any letter submitted by his erstwhile god Son to protest the APC NWC decision.
