The death has been announced of Mr Augustine Adeoye Arogundade, the Executive chairman Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA in Lagos State.

He passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

The sad news of his passing away was confirmed in a statement on Tuesday by the Chairman of the Lagos State Conference of Local Government and Local Council development (Conference 57), Hon Mrs Omolola Essien.

“The sad incident occurred on Tuesday. We pray The Good Lord forgive his shortcomings and grant him safe passage to paradise while we continue to pray for the family at this trying time,” the statement read in part.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State government has announced plans to provide an alternative solution after its decision to suspend the operation of okada and tricycles in certain areas in the state.

The state commissioner for transport, Frederick Oladeinde disclosed that government plans to introduce what it calls First Mile and Last Mile (FMLM) mobility solution to replace banned Okada and tricycle from July.

The commissioner made this known while speaking on Wednesday at the 2020 ministerial press briefing at the JJT Park, Alausa, Ikeja.
