Manchester United To Extend Odion Ighalo Loan

Manchester United are about to accept a loan extension for striker Odion Ighalo.

The leaders of United are negotiating with the Chinese club and hope that an agreement can be reached for a further extension of the loan from the Nigerian striker.

Ighalo is expected to return to the Chinese Super League club in June, as his original loan agreement with United only runs until May 31.

But Ighalo’s agent Atta Aneke confirmed to Norwegian media Nettavisen that United is now about to sign a new deal with Shanghai Shenhua that will keep the striker with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team until l ‘next year.

The proposed loan extension will continue until the end of January when Ighalo will return to Shanghai.

His current contract expires in December 2022, but Shanghai wants to grade him until at least December 2024.

The Nigerian striker joined United on loan in January, scoring four goals in eight games before the Premier League suspension.
