Some Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday, held a fence-mending meeting with the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole on Monday.
It is understood that the meeting is connected with the political developments in Edo State ahead of the June 22 party primaries and the September 2020 governorship election in the state.
Naija News reports that the meeting held at the National Executive Committee Hall at the party National Secretariat in Abuja.
This online medium gathered that part of the meeting’s agenda is to provide a soft landing for Godwin Obaseki, the Edo State governor amidst the political crisis brewing in the state.
It will be recalled that a similar meeting held with the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos on Sunday night.
The governors present at meeting include the Chairman of Progressive Governors Forum and Kebbi State governor, Atiku Bagudu, Ondo State governor – Rotimi Akeredolu, Lagos State – Babajide Sanwo-olu, Gombe State – Mohammed Inuwa – Gombe, Kano State – Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Kwara State – AbdulRahman Abdulrasak.
