Unknown Gunmen Kidnaps Nassarawa State CAN Chairman

The Chairman of the Nassarawa State Christian Association of Nigerian, Bishop Joseph Masin has been abducted by some unknown bandit.

Naija News learnt that the abduction of the immediate past Secretary of the association, Elder Yohanna Samari confirmed the incident in Lafia.

He said unknown gunmen stormed the residence of the CAN chairman at midnight in Bukan Sidi area of Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital and took him away to an unknown destination.

The State Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe, also confirmed the development to newsmen in Lafia.  He said that a Police team has been deployed to trail the abductors, to ensure the safe rescue of the victim and possible arrest of the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman of CAN in the state, said the abductors had contacted the family demanding for N20 million ransom. Naija News Understands that kidnapping of several religious clerics has become normal activities  in the northern region
