COVID-19: NCDC Reports 389 New Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed three hundred and eighty-nine new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

The new update by the NCDC on Wednesday, May 27 brings the total cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria to 8733.

Covid-19: CAN Reveals When Churches Would Open Again

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has assured that the ban on religious gatherings across the country would end by the first Sunday of June.

This was made known in a statement signed by CAN President, Rev Samson Ayokunle, yesterday.

According to Ayokunle, they have commenced negotiation with the Federal Government as regards the measure to put in place.

“We are in discussions with the Federal Government and are drawing the guidelines that churches would follow in order not to endanger the life of any worshipper and equally prevent COVID-19 infection,” part of the statement read.

FG Set To Issue Guidelines On Reopening Of Schools Amid Coronavirus In Nigeria

The Federal Government has said it would roll out guidelines for the reopening of schools in the country amid Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Naija News reports that the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, made this known during a briefing in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Wednesday.

While congratulating children in the country on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day, the Chairman of the PTF urged stakeholders to begin to take steps that would aid the reopening of schools in the country.
