7 Dies In An Auto Crash In Kwara State

Mr Gbenga Owoade, Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Moro Local Government Area in Kwara State, has attested to the report of seven lives lost in a horrible road accident that happened on Wednesday (yesterday) in the area council.

Naija News learnt that seven persons had died at the horrible accident which happened in Bode-Saadu, a town in Kwara State along the Lagos-Kaduna expressway

According to the report, no one escaped the accident which happened between a fuel tanker and a corolla car, as all the seven people involved died at the spot of the incident.

Reporting the incident, Mr Owoade revealed, “Early this morning, we got a report that there was a road traffic crash which occurred at the Bode-Saadu-Olooru axis at a village called Lumoh.”

“Sadly, all seven people involved in the accident lost their lives; there were four males and three females in the car.”

Owoade stressed that the accident was caused due to over speeding and loss of concentration by drivers of the two vehicles.

He, however, noted that the remains of the victims have been evacuated from the scene and deposited at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital’s morgue.

Meanwhile, Kwara State Government has been urged to give consent to strict disciplinary measures against violators of the interstate travel ban placed in the state to combat the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
