Mourinho Takes Stock Of Injuries As Tottenham Prepares To Play Man Utd
Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho said all of his players have recovered from injuries.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Mourinho admitted, however, that players will find it difficult to play the fullest due to the lack of match time.
Prior to the COVID-19 break, the Spurs had a number of injury issues, including Harry Kane’s hamstring problem, Heung-Min Son’s arm injury, as well as extended absences for Steven Bergwijn and Moussa Sissoko.
During their time out, Mourinho and the team were eliminated from the FA Cup and the Champions League.
“I can’t say right now that they’re ready to play because one thing is to recover from an injury, and another is to be ready to play football.
“For us, of course, it’s a great feeling, because we ended the period with this defeat in Leipzig, where we were really, really in trouble to have 11 players, including the attacking players, and right now (Erik) Lamela, Son, Dele (Alli), Harry Kane, Bergwijn, everyone is in good shape now, “said Mourinho.
Although there is no agreed date for the resumption, the Premier League is looking to restart with Tottenham facing Manchester United at home.
