Nigeria Records 276 New Cases Of COVID-19

Two hundred and seventy-six new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria has been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

The sector on Tuesday night, at about 11:30 pm, released updates of new cases of the dreadful disease which overall figure has risen to 8344 in the country, as at the time of filing this report.

El-Rufai Extends COVID-19 Lockdown Amid Coronavirus In Kaduna

The Kaduna State Government led by Governor Nasir El-Rufai has extended COVID-19 lockdown in the northern state by another two weeks amid Coronavirus in Kaduna.

Naija News reports that the Coronavirus lockdown in the state was announced the Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe in a broadcast to residents on Tuesday, May 26.

The Kaduna State Deputy Governor said the two weeks lockdown would start from June 1st, 2020.

COVID-19: Lagos Govt, FG Working To Reopen Schools

The Lagos State Government is working with the Federal Government on mapping out plans for the reopening of schools following the easing of lockdown due to coronavirus (COVID-19).

Speaking during an online show, the Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo stated that the decision to reopen schools cannot be taken by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu alone.

She disclosed that the state government was already meeting with officials of the Federal Ministry of Education to design guidelines that would be adopted before students could return to their classrooms.
