Barely four months after Charles Ezekwem, former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Imo State denounced his membership of the party to join the ruling party, All Progressive Congress, APC, the Nigeria opposition party in the state again has been greeted with another massive membership loss.

Naija News has been informed that some PDP heads in Imo State have revoked their membership with the party just a few moments ago.

Damian Opara, who holds the state’s party Publicity Secretary position and M. I Okedu, the Assistant Financial Secretary of the PDP in Imo have announced their resignation and declared interest in obtaining membership with the All Progressive Congress, Naija News learnt.

According to the duo, as reported by Daily Post, the leadership of the PDP in Imo reserves no regard for the rights of its members and hence their decision to opt-out.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, to immediately release himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for investigation over allegations of financial impropriety.
