Breaking: NCDC Confirms Three New Cases Of Omicron Variant

The Jigawa State government has announced the discharge of 32 patients from its COVID-19 isolation center in Dutse.

It announced that the 32 patients were discharged after recovering from the coronavirus disease and testing negative twice to the virus.

The development was confirmed by the state Commissioner of Health, Dr. Abba Abba Zakari at the NYSC camp in Dutse on Monday May 25.

Naija News understands the latest discharge brings to 143 the total number of discharged COVID-19 patients in the state.

Dr. Zakari added that 4 more COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in the state, bringing the total number of fatalities to 7 in Jigawa.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC), has confirmed two hundred and twenty-nine new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

The NCDC confirmed the new cases on its official Twitter account on Monday night at about 11:36 pm. This brings the total number of Coronavirus cases in the country to 8068.
