Many years after Peter and Paul, the famous Nigerian twins that made up the P-Square singing group went their separate ways, one of them has given an insight into what actually transpired.

Peter Okoye (Mr. P), who is one half of the popular singing group P-Square disclosed on Sunday that it wasn’t about fame, power, or money but that he left for freedom.

Naija News reports many fans of the P-Square singing sensation were left shocked after the two brothers decided to go their separate ways.

Some have even been both secretly and hoping that the duo would come back together to make music as before.

However, Peter, while voicing his opinions on the recent controversies surrounding the outburst by another Nigerian musician, Cynthia Morgan disclosed that he broke up with his twin to get his freedom.

He wrote on his Twitter account: “And some people thought I was stupid when I made the right decision. My dear C Morgan! it’s never too late to be what you might have been. God will surely see you through and carry you through the storm. Keep believing.”

“My dear C Morgan, The decision I made 3yrs ago was never about the fame, money or power! It was for my FREEDOM!??”

“Sad you rejected the contract I gave u. Just because they made you see me like the bad egg. I pray you understand that God has a purpose for everything. Never give up

The Truth shall prevail. God will surely see you through C Morgan… Gnight.”
