President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday after the Eid prayers urged citizens to be very careful in their dealings amid the Coronavirus global pandemic.

Naija News understands that faithful Muslims across the country yesterday, May 24 celebrates the Eid-El Fitri which marks the end of the month of Ramadan.

Interacting with the State House reporters on Sunday, President Buhari noted that Nigerians at this time must be very sensitive at his time when the country is battling with COVID-19 pandemic which has brought even the most advanced countries to their knees.

He admonished citizens to ensure total compliance with the rules and regulations made available by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

He said, “Nigerians can see that the COVID-19 has reduced us, both the developing and developed countries, to the same level.”

“In fact, we have fewer casualties than they have. So, it’s a very frightening development. I advise Nigerians to be very careful and take the advice of the Ministry of Health,” the President added.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed three hundred and thirteen new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
