Just In: Lagos Discharges 31 More COVID-19 Patients

The Lagos State government has discharged Thirty-one more COVID-19 patients who have recovered from the virus.

According to a post on the Twitter page of the Lagos State Ministry of Health, the patients were discharged after testing negative twice to the coronavirus infection.

Naija News understands those discharged include twelve females and nineteen males. The latest discharge brings the total number of recoveries from the virus in Lagos State to 738.

Additional information on the latest discharges shows nineteen of the patients were released from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 13 from Onikan, 11 from Gbagada, 5 from Agidingbi and 1 from Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation Centres.

Meanwhile, the commissioner for health in Lagos state, Akin Abayomi has revealed that the number of COVID-19 cases in the state might explode to 120,000 between July and August 2020.
