The number of coronavirus cases in Africa has risen to over 110,900 in the past 24 hours.

This was disclosed by the World Health Organization, WHO, regional office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, while giving update on its Twitter account.

Its said the virus has killed more than 3,300 people on the continent, while more than 44,500 people have recovered from the virus.

Over 110,900 confirmed COVID-19 cases on the African continent – with more than 44,500 recoveries & 3,300 deaths,” it said.

Nigeria ranks fourth in Africa, ahead of Morocco with 7,839 reported cases and 226 deaths, while the North African nation has 7,429 cases and 198 deaths.

The WHO COVID-19 dashboard showed that South Africa, Egypt, and Algeria are the top three countries in Africa with the highest reported COVID-19 cases.
