The English Premier League shareholders have finally reached an agreement on allowing clubs to resume training in groups for the completion of the 2019/2020 session.
The development which was disclosed in an official statement by the EPL on Monday, May 18, noted that teams would commence training in small groups from Tuesday, May 19.
The statement reads: “Premier League Shareholders today voted unanimously to return to small group training from tomorrow afternoon.”
“(It is) the first step towards restarting the Premier League, when safe to do so.”
This was as the United Kingdom government consented a few days ago that the Premier League and other top-level sports in England restart the season behind closed doors from next month.
It, however, explained that matches will be played without spectators until a vaccine is found for the global pandemic.
Meanwhile, a report has emerged that Manchester United are in keen interest to buy Benfica star Carlos Vinicius who has £88m release clause
