Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has warned residents of the state that terms of the lockdown easing may be reviewed if Lagosians continue to disobey the guidelines.

Sanwo-Olu stated this on Sunday during a media briefing after the State’s Security Council meeting held at the State House in Marina.

The Lagos Governor commended residents in the state for the “encouraging levels of compliance among open markets and non-food markets.”

He expressed his disappointment over the non-compliance with the use of face masks and the flouting of health directives by operators of “yellow buses”.

Sanwo-Olu also stated that the government was considering a full re-opening of the critical sectors of its economy but the move will not be pushed in a hurry.

He said the State Government would be rolling out Register-to-Open initiative as part of the plans that would enable it to assess the level of readiness of the players in the identified sectors for supervised operations.

According to Sanwo-Olu, officials from the Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC) and Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) will be visiting restaurants, companies, religious houses to assess their level of readiness.
