Kwara State Confirms 9 New Cases Of COVID-19

The number of people with confirmed COVID-19 infection in Kwara State has increased by nine.

This development brings the total of confirmed cases in the state to 53, including twelve discharged patients as well as one death.

This was disclosed by Mr. Fafoluyi Olayinka, the Special Assistant on New Media to the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

 

Meanwhile, Governor  AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has sacked a driver and queried the COVID-19 team for the mishandling a COVID-19 case and evacuating the victim without following safety protocol.

The misconduct of the COVID-19 ambulance driver and the team’s failure to apply caution and expertise in handling the situation was recorded in a video footage that had gone viral on social media.
