2. Supreme Court Delivers Final Verdict On Anambra South Senatorial Election

The lawmaker representing Anambra South in the Senate has become a happy man with the latest decision of the Supreme Court.

The happiness of the lawmaker, Ifeanyi Ubah was determined as the Apex court approved him as the senator representing Anambra South in the upper chamber of the national assembly.

3. Rivers: PDP Sacks Youth Leader Whose Hotel Was Demolished By Wike

The Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State has expelled Princewill Osarojiji, the owner of one of the hotels demolished by the state Governor, Nyesom Wike.

5. Court Of Appeal Gives Final Ruling On Diri’s Candidacy As Bayelsa State Governor

The Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri, the Imo state capital has affirmed the candidacy of Douye Diri as the winner of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) primary election in Bayelsa State.

The appellate court by its action on Tuesday has dismissed an appeal filed by Ndutimi Alaibe which challenged the emergence of Diri as the Bayelsa State 2019 governorship candidate of the PDP.

6. Reps Approve President Muhammadu Buhari’s Request To Borrow N850bn

President Muhammadu Buhari’s request to borrow N850bn from the domestic capital market to finance projects in the 2020 budget has been approved by the House of Representatives.

His request was approved barely a week after the Senate gave accelerated approval to the loan.

7. President Buhari Sends 42 Names Of Ambassadors-Designate To Nigerian Senate

President Muhammadu Buhari has released forty-two names of ambassador-designate to the upper chamber of the Nigerian Senate.

Naija News learnt that the names of the nominated presidential representative at several embassies were read out by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan on the floor during plenary.

As Nigeria still struggles with quelling the menace of the Boko Haram sect, another terrorist group, allegedly called Jama’atu Ansaril Muslimina fi Biladis Sudan or the Vanguard for the Protection of Muslims in Black Africa, has emerged.

This was made known in the early hours of today by the Inspector-General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT) which was led by a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari.

9. People Of Bauchi State Don’t Believe In Coronavirus – Gov. Bala Mohammed

The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has lamented that some people in the state still do not believe in the existence of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Governor made this known on Monday when he appeared on a programme on NTA.

10. NCDC/PTF Officials Coming To Cross River Must Be Isolated, Tested – State Govt

Governor Ben Ayade-led government has requested that officials of NCDC/PTF coming into the state be isolated for fourteent days and undergo test for Coronavirus before they can carry out their duty.

The Commissioner of Health in the state, Dr Betta Edu, who is also the Chairman of Coronavirus Task Force, further stated that the state protocol must be obeyed.
