1. COVID-19 Patients Will Be Healed If Government Opens Churches – Pastor Tells Buhari

A charge has gone out to President Muhammadu Buhari to allow churches across the nation to re-open their doors and conduct services.

Pastor Adewale Giwa challenged the government saying they should re-open the churches if truly they are not hiding anything from Nigerians.

3. Kano Loses Another Traditional Ruler

The death has been announced of Alhaji Yusuf Bayero, the Dan’iya of Kano.

He was the district head of Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area.

4. COVID-19: Government Confirms 7 New Cases, 3 Deaths As 39 Patients Are Discharged In Abuja

Seven new cases of coronavirus and the death of three COVID-19 infected persons in Abuja has been confirmed by the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA.

The FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammed Musa Bello in a tweet on Sunday confirmed the development while also announcing that another 39 patients have been discharged after testing negative to the virus.

5. Two Fresh COVID-19 Deaths Recorded In Kaduna State

The Kaduna State government has announced the sad news of two COVID-19 deaths in the state, bringing the number of fatalities as a result of the virus to three.

The State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai who announced the development on Twitter, said the latest fatalities are a senior citizen from Makarfi and a lady from Zaria.

Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has berated the World Health Organisation (WHO) over its handling of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.

Naija News reports that Madagascar produced a new herbal remedy which it claimed to have cured patients suffering from coronavirus.

7. COVID-19: 47 Health Workers In Kano State Test Positive For Coronavirus

The Kano State coordinator of the state’s task force on COVID-19, Tijjani Hussain has disclosed on that 47 health workers have tested positive for COVID-19.

Hussain announced this at a press conference in Kano, on Sunday.

8. Rivers: Governor Wike Declares PDP Leader Wanted

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has declared the Peoples Democratic Party’s youths leader in Eleme Local Government Area, Princewill Osaroejiji, wanted.

In a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communications in the state, Paulinus Nsirim, Osaroejiji was wanted for alleged criminal activities.

9. 10 More Coronavirus Patients Discharged In Kano State

The Kano State government on Sunday announced it has discharged 10 more COVID-19 patients who have undergone treatment in its isolation centres.

This development was confirmed in a statement by the State Commissioner for Information, Mallam Muhammad Garba, who noted that those discharged have fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

10. NCDC Confirms 248 New Cases Of Coronavirus In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday evening, confirmed 248 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.

This brings the total number of cases in the country to 4399.
