NCDC Confirms 248 New Cases Of Coronavirus In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday evening, confirmed 248 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.

This brings the total number of cases in the country to 4399.

According to the breakdown by NCDC according to the states, 81-Lagos, 35-Jigawa, 26-Borno, 26-Kano, 20-Bauchi, 13-FCT, 12-Edo, 10-Sokoto, 7-Zamfara, 4-Kwara, 4-Kebbi, 2-Gombe, 2-Taraba, 2-Ogun, 2-Ekiti, 1-Osun, 1-Bayelsa.

The NCDC figures also confirmed 778 persons have been discharged while 143 deaths have been recorded due to coronavirus complications.

COVID-19: 47 Health Workers In Kano State Test Positive For Coronavirus

The Kano State coordinator of the state’s task force on CORONAVIRUS, Tijjani Hussain has disclosed on that 47 health workers have tested positive for Coronavirus.

Hussain announced this at a press conference in Kano, on Sunday.

He, however, noted that the health workers had contracted the disease the previous week, adding that no medical personnel got infected in the last few days.

Out of the total number of confirmed cases in Kano State, we recorded 21 deaths,” he said.

“On Saturday; we also recorded 84 new suspected cases of the COVID-19, bringing the total number of the suspected cases to 1,820 in the state.

“Between Saturday and Sunday, 29 of the 84 samples collected were confirmed positive to the virus. So far we have collected 2,072 samples in the state.”

What Pastor Adeboye Told God About Coronavirus On Sunday

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has pleaded with God to have mercy on the entire world over the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Naija News reports that Pastor Adeboye who spoke through a live broadcast by the DOVE Television, during the Sunday service, advised everyone to continue to pray for God to quickly put an end to coronavirus pandemic.

The RCCG General Overseer pleaded with God to heal the sick and comfort those in sorrow amid the coronavirus outbreak in the world.
