10 More Coronavirus Patients Discharged In Kano State

The Kano State government on Sunday announced it has discharged 10 more COVID-19 patients who have undergone treatment in its isolation centres.

This development was confirmed in a statement by the State Commissioner for Information, Mallam Muhammad Garba, who noted that those discharged have fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

Naija News understands that with the new discharges, the number of those successfully managed and discharged in the state stands at 32.

The Commissioner also confirmed that three deaths have been recorded, which brings the number of fatalities from the dreaded disease to 21.

While urging residents of the state to continue to maintain high personal hygiene, use of face masks, and strict observance of social distancing as part of strategies to curb coronavirus, Garba explained that Kano has so far carried out tests on 2, 072 cases for COVID-19 in its test centres.

Meanwhile, this online medium earlier reported that the death has been announced of Alhaji Yusuf Bayero, the Dan’iya of Kano.

He was the district head of Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area.
