If Not For Buhari, Nigeria May Have Been Wiped Off By Now - Adesina

A clergyman, Adewale Giwa has slammed Femi Adesina, the special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity over his statement that no Nigerian had the authority to order President Buhari around.

Giwa, who is the senior pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ Ministry, said Adesina should resign as he is not a good manager of the president.

He also accused the presidential media aide of disrespecting Nigerians.

Giwa made the assertion while reacting to a statement credited to the presidential media aide in a broadcast with ‘Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire Programme’ where he noted that nobody had the authority to order President Buhari around.

However, in his reaction in a statement on Friday, Giwa urged Adesina to be careful with his utterances as Buhari was elected to serve Nigerians and the citizens of the country had every right to question their elected officials.

He said, “I watched the interview, and I can tell you that Mr. Adesina is not a good manager.

“We are citizens of Nigeria and everyone has the right to question president Buhari if he fails to address some burning issues.

“As a sitting president of Nigeria, he is answerable to the people not to Adesina. Nigerians must be able to tell him what they want.

“Mr. Adesina should learn from Olusegun Adeniyi and Reuben Abati.

“There is a way you talk to people to show respect for their persons. Adesina has no respect for Nigerians.”
