The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Thursday, May 7 reports three-hundred-and-eighty-one confirmed new cases of Coronavirus.

The development brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 3526.

Kwara Records Five New Covid-19 Cases From Quarantined Travellers

Kwara State said late Thursday it has recorded five new COVID-19 cases as 38 results trickled in from the 158 samples recently taken for the test.

HURIWA Gives Buhari 78 Hours To Recall The Appointment of Suleiman Abba, Ahmed Aliyu, Others

President Muhammadu Buhari has been warned by the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, to call back his recent appointments.

The group in a lengthy statement made available to newsmen on Thursday, May 7 threatened to call for a suit against the president if he refused to call back those he recently approved as the board of Trustees of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, describing the move as unconstitutional.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has vowed to dump Biafra agitation should President Muhammadu Buhari to appear in a live broadcast as he (Kanu) did on Wednesday.

Naija News had reported earlier that a controversial Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo said Nnamdi Kanu was dead. The news of Nnamdi Kanu’s death first emerged on the micro-blogging site, Twitter last week when Miss Olunloyo tweeted that the IPOB leader was dead and had been cremated in Italy.
