Again, Gunmen Kidnap Catholic Priest In Imo Community

According to reports gathered by our correspondent, some yet to be identified gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the father of a local government council area chairman in Bayelsa State.

It was reported that the father of the chairman of Sagbama, a Local Government Area Council in Bayelsa State, Pa Napoleon Alale has been swindled to an unknown location by yet to be known gunmen.

Naija News learnt that the 80-year-old father was taken away from his apartment in Agbere, a community in the Sagbama LGA on Friday morning.

Giving an update on the kidnap, the Press Secretary to the SALGA Chairman, Dr Nikade Anderson, in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday morning said, “the octogenarian was whisked away from his country home residence about 12 midnight, Friday.”

Nikade disclosed further that Pa Alale’s house was invaded at an early hour of today (Friday) by the gunmen who were shooting sporadically to send residents away in fear.

Facts confirmed that a vigilante member on watch was in the process shot by the gunmen.

However, the kidnappers as at the time of filing this report have not yet reached out to any of the relatives of the kidnapped to name their price.

This is coming two weeks after Naija News reported that Gunmen kidnapped the Commissioner for Agriculture in Ekiti State, Folorunso Olabode.
